Who we are
Our Origin Story
We first crossed paths while solving complex business challenges at a global Fortune 100 consulting firm. Driven by a shared desire to pursue excellence, we each embarked on MBA journeys and reconnected shortly thereafter. We are connected through our devotion to solve seemingly unsolvable business and cybersecurity problems by challenging conventional wisdom and thinking different(ly). That shared vision led us to create SUSA, a company built to solve the impossible.
With a mission-driven mindset, we are eager to help teams and organizations take control of their future by designing tailored business and cybersecurity solutions for both present challenges and future opportunities. We believe the well-being of the digital and non-digital world depends on the survival of critical thinking and success of businesses that serve society. At SUSA, we are committed to designing a brighter, stronger future. Together.
Your partner for cybersecurity readiness
SUSA helps organizations understand and improve their cybersecurity posture with structured assessments, clear reporting, and ongoing guidance — so you can make informed decisions without the overwhelm.

Meet Teresa Suárez
Teresa is a renaissance woman who has been in the risk space for over a decade and stumbled into cybersecurity as some sort of cosmic nudge. Throughout her career, she has blended art and science to drive transformative change in security. As a core pioneer in cyber risk management, Teresa trained hundreds of practitioners in premier quantitative cyber risk methods, interviewed hundreds of cross-functional stakeholders, and whiteboarded cyber risk scenarios across organizations. She also architected and delivered cyber risk services for Fortune 100 clients across industries, from top risk workshops and board reporting to end-to-end program design and build.
That experience sharpened her ability to connect frontline doers with decision-making generals. Most notably, Teresa served as a core visionary and value creator at a Fortune 100 company, helping pioneer a nine-figure Secure by Design transformation. She built, scaled, and led strategy, co-creation workshops, cyber risk measurement, and high-performing teams. Teresa co-founded SUSA because she believes societies flourish when organizations create value, and security protects that value and the people behind it.
Meet Josh Sahota
Josh Sahota is a co-founder of SUSA, helping raise the standard for cybersecurity strategy and execution. He spent years at a Fortune 100 consultancy, where he helped pioneer connected vehicle security assessments, built a tool that strengthened operational technology security services, and contributed to global security architecture design and integration. He also built, led, and delivered security programs that connected complex environments across IT, OT, and connected vehicles.
Drawing on this experience and MBA education, Josh bridges business goals with technical execution to fix what's broken in how security gets done so organizations are stronger today and more resilient tomorrow. He believes technology should elevate people by creating space for human creativity, intuition, and critical thinking. He cares deeply about building durable systems and is committed to lifelong learning.

Our Outlook
We recognize that the business landscape is complex and dynamic, AND technology is moving faster than ever, AND decisions impacting an organization's future need to be made quicker, AND resources to realize the future vision are limited. Technological advancements are accelerating, leading to a perpetual state of change. This state of change leads to an unpredictable environment, ever-changing goalposts, ongoing firefighting, an increase in employee burnout, and a widening gap between technical skillsets and business understanding.
Short-sighted, living-off-the-land consulting engagements, smash-and-grab PowerPoint decks generated by GPTs (or cobbled together by overutilized junior consultants), and over-promised + under-delivered/under-utilized technologies further amplifies the disconnects between an organization's technical capability function and core operations. In an organization's cybersecurity function, this leads to an often-lagging discipline and persistent state of fragmentation.
Vendor bloat + sprawl + silos (among teams, processes, and technologies) need to be reconciled. We believe it is a company's social responsibility to address these challenges to ensure a secure society that continues to realize value provided through products and services. We want to work proactively to create cybersecurity of the future, rather than react to the times.
It is time to see cybersecurity anew. And to do that, it's time to think different.
Our approach brings systematic long-term thinking coupled with strong short-term tactics to combat chaos and the waves and challenges that come with the cybersecurity space. We recognize the creative tension between human intelligence and artificial intelligence and believe human intelligence must prevail as paramount. With this goal in mind, we look to answer:
- How can technology (AI included) help humans solve seemingly impossible, unsolvable, or simply hard problems?
- How can we elevate people, cultivate meaningful relationships, and introduce a cosmic order to the chaos?
